Horseshoe Canyon Ranch

Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, located approximately half way between Ponca and Jasper, has been operating as a "dude ranch" and rock climbing destination for the past couple of decades but is adding world class mountain biking to it's attractions. Additionally, a new public restaurant is opening Spring 2024. The facilities and business were recently purchased by the Walton family from Bentonville, so we're hoping for great things, especially great food at the restaurant!

Low Gap Cafe

Located in the heart of Buffalo River Country, “The friendliest place in town”. The food served at the Low Gap will exceed your expectations, given the remote location, but a meal served by Chef Nick and his crew will rival any food served anywhere! The Low Gap Cafe is located in beautiful, but dry (NO beer or alochol sold or served), Newton County. The Low Gap Cafe' began 12 miles west of Jasper at Low Gap, AR, but has relocated from Low Gap to Hwy. 7 in Jasper.

Ozark Cafe

"Featuring the best Burgers and Shakes in Jasper Arkansas! We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Stop in and enjoy our famous chocolate gravy, fresh cut fries or specialty burgers and milkshakes."

Jasper Pizza Company

Opened in Spring 2023, their delicious food is now available to the citizens and visitors of Jasper and Newton County. Austin and Allison are the proprietors and have considerable restaurant experience, which is obvious when you bite into their pizzas, appetizers or desserts. The hubcap-sized homemade chocolate chip cookies are to die for!

JB Trading Company

A really amazing store just up the hill from Ponca that will surprise you with the large variety of goods, such as camping supplies, hiking maps, tents, sleeping bags and anything else you could want while enjoying your Buffalo River area experience. This includes top of the line canoes, kayaks, paddles and related accessories. They also carry all kinds of snack foods, as well as freeze dried meals and dinners.

Ponca Area- Seasonal

Both of the local outfitters, Buffalo Outdoor Center (BOC) and Lost Valley Canoe, offer a small selection of dry goods and groceries. BOC offers sandwiches and a few other fresh made snacks. Except during the winter months, there is a Farmers Market and food truck parked across the street from Lost Valley Canoe. If you're REALLY lucky, Emmy Lou's Fried Pies' food truck will be there, also!
